Yes, you read that right … I did have thoughts of calling it the GUN SHAeRER of the Week with the ‘e’ blobbed out). But if you’re not from the bush, I’d have to explain what GUN meant in this case … guess I was being too ‘inventive’ for my own good. So it’s the GOLDEN SHARER.

The TEAM and I want to mark the occasion of our 6th Week Birthday for both blog site and Facebook page by acknowledging all you brilliant supporters of KidLit’s climate action for a safer future!

Some members go beyond the ‘call of duty’ by sharing our Children’s Book Creators for Climate Action Blog and commenting on the Guest Bloggers’ posts, and also sharing and commenting interesting articles on our Facebook page. We imagine you all scanning your Facebook Feeds … grabbing relevant articles to share on our page. Maybe it’s something you’ve never got into before? Top marks, peeps!

Familiar SHARER faces pop up all the time … this Golden Sharer award has been a tightly-won race over the past couple of weeks (that you didn’t even know was happening, haha). We had to put those names in a hat to pull out a winner.

So … DRUM ROLL, please …

Congratulations to the inaugural winner of the GOLDEN SHARER OF THE WEEK medal

Pat Simmons – author from Sydney. Pat writes picture books, flash fiction for adults and children, and poetry … and she is a keen advocate for nature, and animals especially insects. Check out her website.
